Pick the emoji your day feels like. That is the whole app — no usernames, no profiles, nothing to scroll. Once you have checked in you see how your friends are doing, and they see you.

  1. You each save the other's number Friends come from your address book. Both directions, or neither of you appears — there is nobody to search for.
  2. They install Howday And sign in with that same number. Nothing else to set up: no profile, no display name, no photo to choose.
  3. Their emoji lands on your board And yours on theirs. One a day each, changeable until midnight.
